High school band director accused of improper relationship with student

HOUSTON – A band director at a local high school is facing charges, accused of an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Eduardo Eli Hernandez is the band director at Fort Bend Bush High School. Police say there was one victim involved in a single incident, but they didn't provide any more details.

Fort Bend County ISD is on spring break this week, but sent a letter home to parents, which read in part, "The employee was immediately placed on leave pending the outcome of the investigation."

The district says it learned of the allegation on March 6.

Hernandez, 35, is charged with improper relationship between educator and student. He is in the Fort Bend County Jail.
