Help needed to solve 22-year cold case

Skeletal remains found in Chambers County ditch in November 1990

CHAMBER COUNTY – Investigators need help solving a cold case that happened more than 22 years ago.

Chambers County sheriff's deputies said human skeletal remains were discovered in a ditch along Highway 124, just north of the Little Elm Bayou on the east side of the road, on Nov. 14, 1990.

The remains were taken to the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office and tests were run. Investigators determined the remains belonged to a white or mixed-race man who was 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall.

Detectives said the man had several healed injuries to the head and body. His skull showed signs of an old injury to the cheek bones, which required extensive dental work. The man's right hip showed signs of being broken at one time.
