Head of Pasadena Convention Center back in jail in DWI case

Gerard "Jordy" Tollett

PASADENA, Texas – The embattled head of the Pasadena Convention Center is back in jail Thursday after being accused of violating his probation on a pair of 2016 DWI charges.

According to court documents, Gerard "Jordy" Tollett failed to submit to random drug and alcohol testing on four occasions. He is also accused of going to a nightclub, which is something the conditions of his probation prohibit.

Prior to the 2016 charges, Tollett pleaded guilty to DWI in 2008. He was also convicted of DWI in 2012 and was sentenced to jail time and 10 years probation, with six years probated.

Tollett is the former head of Houston’s Convention and Visitors Bureau. He resigned from that position shortly after Channel 2 Investigates showed him spending hours of the work day in Houston area bars. He took the Pasadena job after that resignation.
