HCSO: Woman drives to Houston to have sex with teen

Recay Scott charged with sexual assault, indecency with child

HOUSTON – A mother has been accused of driving nearly 200 miles to have sex with a 14-year-old girl she met online.

Recay Scott, 41, has been charged with sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said Scott met the girl through a social networking site called Glogster.com. Detectives said the two exchanged phone numbers and began texting each other before they arranged a face-to-face meeting.

Sources told KPRC Local 2 that Scott, who lives in Killen, Texas, and the teen agreed to meet at a hotel on Eldridge Parkway on July 7.

The girl told a friend about what was happening, and that friend decided to tag along because she was worried about the girl's safety, officials said.

When the girl and her friend went to the hotel, they found Scott and her own 14-year-old daughter there, investigators said.

Scott's daughter and the girl's friends played video games while Scott and the girl had sex in another room, detectives said.

The girl's friend got worried, went to check on her and discovered what was happening, officials said. A short time later, the friend told her mother what happened and the mother called investigators.

On Friday, Scott's home in Killen was raided. Detectives said they took an iPad, an iPod touch and a cellphone.

Officials said they tried to talk to Scott, but she wanted to hire a lawyer first.

Investigators said they are working to determine if Scott had been involved with any other teens. Detectives said they checked her Facebook page and found that she is friends with about 12 girls in the Houston area, all of whom are about 15 years old.
