HOUSTON – Deputies need help finding a man who has been accused of sexually assaulting a teenager.
Harris County sheriff's deputies said a 15-year-old girl met the man through MocoSpace.com, a social networking site.
The teen and the man exchanged text messages for several months before the man asked to meet her in person in November, investigators said.
Detectives said the man picked up the girl at her home and took her to a car wash on Veteran's Memorial in north Harris County, where he raped her, forced her out of his car and left her.
The girl said she only knew the man as Juan, but that may not be his real name, deputies said. He was described as Hispanic, being in his late teens or early 20s and 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a stocky build and a thin, neatly-trimmed mustache.
The man was driving an older-model Honda, possibly green with a tan interior.
Detectives said they have spent the past eight months chasing down leads, but they haven't found the man.
