Deputies have released a sketch of the man wanted in connection to a violent home invasion and assault that happened in Cypress earlier this week.
According to reports, a 23-year-old woman was at her home in the 18000 block of Temple Hill Lane when the suspect knocked on her door around noon Tuesday.
When the victim did not open the door, deputies said the suspect kicked the front door open and forced his way into the home. He then tied the victim's hands and ankles and demanded money and other items.
Deputies said the suspect also physically and sexually assaulted the woman while her two children were in another bedroom.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
"No, I can't say...Haven't seen anybody who looks like that," said resident Dan Laforge.
The suspect didn't look familiar to Laforge who lives just a few doors away. He was home that day, but didn't see the stranger in the neighborhood.
"Kinda scary. I have a daughter and right in my own neighborhood in the middle of day, that's what makes it worse," he said.
Officials said the suspect drove off in a white, four-door Chevrolet Cobalt with tinted windows. He's described as a Hispanic man, 5 feet 9 inches tall, possibly in his 20s, with a dark complexion and a military haircut.
Anyone with information about the suspect's identity or location is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
