HCSO: Man films men using gas station restroom

HOUSTON – A man has been accused of recording video of men using the restroom at a northwest Harris County gas station.

Jesus Salazar, 19, has been charged with improper photography.

Harris County sheriff's deputies were flagged down at a gas station at along the Northwest Freeway near Becker on Sunday.

Salazar, according to witnesses, was in a stall with his cellphone recording through a small hole.

Tony Rodriguez said he's heard of similar stories before. He said he fears privacy is getting harder and harder to protect.

"It's nearly impossible. Everyone has a phone everyone takes pictures. You see something going on, people are fighting, they are recording it instead of helping," said Rodriguez.

In this case, an alert man in the bathroom saw Salazar and called for help. Deputies approached Salazar as he walked to his car in the parking lot.

At least two victims identified Salazar, investigators said.

According to deputies, Salazar admitted to taking the videos. Investigators have the cellphone, which they said contains 11 videos from inside the restroom.

Salazar was arrested and booked into the Harris County jail with a bond set at $52,000. He is expected in court on Tuesday.
