A man broke into a northwest Harris County home early Tuesday morning managed to escape, deputies said.
Just after midnight, the family living inside a home on Mackenzie Road and Rogue River woke up to the sound of a man breaking into their home.
Deputies said the intruder tried a front window.
When he could not gain entry, they said he broke into the side of the house through another window.
When the suspect was confronted by the homeowners, he ran out of the home and fled north through a neighborhood.
Investigators said the father, mother and two teenagers inside the home were not hurt.
HCSO set up a perimeter a few blocks away around Misty Summit and Greenyard.
Deputies said they searched for two hours, but were unable to find the intruder.
