HOUSTON -

The search is on for a shooter who opened fire at a high school house party, hitting one person.

A quiet neighborhood became the scene of a crime after an argument at a house party ended with gunfire.

"You hear massive shooting, about 10 to 20 rounds went off," said witness Nicole Griffin.

Investigators were called out to the home on Ogden Forest near Parkhill Forest at around 1:20 Saturday morning. Neighbors describe the scene as utter chaos.

"The girls and their piercing screaming, I was just shaking," said Griffin.

She says hundreds of students were running for their lives, trying to get out of the way of the bullets. One boy was shot twice in the stomach.

"A kid ran to the door, screaming, 'Somebody has been shot, help me, help me,'" Griffin said.

She called 911. The boy was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition. Griffin says she is still in shock because nothing like this has ever happened in this neighborhood.

"I have been here for three years, and this is the first time that even a party this massive was on this street. It is usually a quiet street," said Griffin.

If you have any information on who this shooter is, you are asked to call Harris County Sheriff's Office.
