SPRING, Texas - Two armed men robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Spring on Monday morning, then dumped the electronic tracking device hidden inside the currency just yards away from the bank, investigators said.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said the two men entered the bank at Cypresswood and Kuykendahl around 10:30 a.m. and demanded money.

The robbers left in an SUV, which was found abandoned a short distance away from the bank, investigators said.

The electronic tracking device was found about 300 yards from the bank, according to detectives.

Detailed descriptions of the robbers have not been released.
