Officials with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office say two of its deputies have been demoted and another has resigned after the three were found to be in "serious violation" of its policies.

Officials said they are not yet prepared to identify those deputies nor give any details about what policies were violated because the Harris County District Attorney's Office is now involved. Criminal charges could be a possibility.

As of Friday evening, no charges had been filed.

All the Precinct 4 Constable's Office would say was that the findings of an internal investigation warranted a suspension and demotion.  Friday, the Constable's Office turned its findings over to the district attorney.

Local 2 has learned one of the deputies in question has voluntarily resigned, while the other two have served a suspension and are back at work in reduced roles.

Local 2 will continue to follow this developing story.
