Halloween-masked intruders invade NE Houston home

1 man shot, others held at gunpoint

HOUSTON – Four people disguised in Halloween masks are being sought after a home invasion in northeast Houston.

According to the residents, a man in the home in the 11700 block of Biscayne Way was sitting on the couch when a group of thieves, armed with guns with lasers, burst through the front door just before 5 a.m. Monday. The intruders shot the man on the couch in the hand upon entering the home, residents said.

He was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

The man’s father and two brothers were held at gunpoint while the intruders demanded money, the residents said.  One brother attempted to get up off the floor, and one of the suspects shot at him, but missed.

No one else was hurt.

“I'm dead asleep and now I'm about to be really dead. Because this guys like going crazy and I'm like ‘what,’ and I'm like ‘dude calm down,’” resident George Villarreal said. “I just didn't want to die really.”

The father tried to chase the intruders after they ran, but lost them, he said.

The residents said, the four thieves got away with a Play Station 3 and 4.

The Houston Police are investigating.
