HOUSTON – Don't leave the house without a light jacket. Temperatures are cool to start, low 50s Thursday morning with the potential to get even colder at sunrise.
Local 2 Meteorologist Anthony Yanez is keeping a close eye on a record cold temperature of 49 degrees set back in 1890 and says it's still possible to tie or break that record.
This afternoon there will be plenty of sun, and a high of 78. Friday morning will also be cool, in the mid 50s.
