HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A family member of a missing 12-year-old girl said Tuesday morning the girl had been found safe and was with police.
According to family member Rebecca Chandler's Facebook post just before 2:30 a.m., Alyssa Cantu was found safe and healthy.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office tweeted Tuesday that she had been safely returned to her parents.

Alyssa, who is an insulin dependent diabetic, went missing around 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Cinco Ranch area, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
She was gone for more than a day.
