HOUSTON – The University of Houston-Downtown campus will soon install new gender-neutral restrooms.
On Friday, Student Government approved the university's effort to add five new single stall restrooms on campus.

The restrooms are part of a movement to embrace the diverse nature of the student population.
According to UH, the stalls are ideal for anyone who needs privacy, a "Family" style restroom, for someone who is transgender or anyone with a disability.
The first new single stall restroom will be complete near the end of February.
