GALVESTON, Texas – Detectives with the Galveston Police Department seized over 13 pounds of marijuana and about $14,000 in cash after a six month investigation.
Ramiro Garza and Barbra Garza were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana on Thursday at 4720 Ave R 1/2.

The investigation ended on Thursday after detectives received information about marijuana grow at the couple's residence.
Both Garzas have bonds set at $100,000 each.
"This case is just another example of inter-agency cooperation. The complexity of the criminal operation made it difficult to investigate this crime. We were only able to be achieve these arrests and seizures through the dedication of our officers and a successful partnership with UTMB Police Department. We all have the same goal of a safe community," said Chief Henry Porretto of GPD.
