GALVESTON, Texas – A Galveston mother has filed a lawsuit against Blue Bell Creameries, claiming its ice cream made her sick.
According to court documents, Ursula Burton bought the ice cream in April 2015, and both she and her daughter became violently ill after eating it.

Burton said she was later diagnosed with listeriosis and has since become lactose intolerant.
Burton's daughter also developed a sensitivity to dairy, according to the lawsuit.
Burton is seeking more than $200,000 in damages.
The company said it does not comment on legal metters.
