HOUSTON – Ever want to live inside a mall? You'll soon be able to live inside The Galleria.
A multi-million dollar redevelopment project is happening in Galleria III. The wing is being transformed into a new retail space.

Cameras were allowed to tour the area and see the demolition work first hand Thursday. There will be around 50 new high-end stores and restaurants.
Saks Fifth Avenue will be moving to a 198,000 square feet facility in the same area.
The old Macy's store in Galleria III will be transformed into a new 300-unit, luxury residential high-rise at the corner of West Alabama Street and Sage Road.
The residential tower would provide residents with all of the latest amenities, an outdoor pool, and an indoor connection to The Galleria.
The new Saks is scheduled to open in fall 2015.
