Organizers said Sr. Capt. David Dean planned the fundraiser held Saturday at 1907 S. Dairy Ashford Rd. at Vietnamese Baptist Church for Capt. Kenneth Willingham.
Willingham will undergo several months of rehabilitation and his paychecks will be lower until he can return to work, organizers said. He is a 14-year veteran of the Fire Department, is married and has three young sons.
