Man saves neighbor from burning home in northeast Houston

HOUSTON – A man is being hailed a hero after pulling his neighbor from a burning home in northeast Houston.

The fire broke out at a home on Boicewood and Lockwood around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Houston firefighters arrived to find a man lying in the front yard of his home with burns to his face, neck and feet.

They say the man's neighbor ran into the flames and pulled him to safety.   He was rushed to the hospital to be treated for his burns and smoke inhalation.

Firefighters are still investigating what started the fire.
