Police said the man refused to pull over for a traffic stop and led officers on a chase at speeds between 100 to 110 mph.

The chase ended later at Bellaire near Gessner. Police used spike strips to pop the driver's two front tires on his pickup truck. The driver kept going until the truck's tires flattened. He got out and ran, but police quickly arrested him.

Police said the man has not told them why he refused to stop. He faces charges of evading arrest with a motor vehicle.
