General Position Description:
KPRC-TV Local 2, the Post Newsweek owned, NBC affiliate in Houston, Texas has an immediate opening for a freelance sports producer.
Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for the show content, format, and digital components. Candidates must be highly creative, have excellent producing, writing, and editing skills.
Qualifications:
Ability to handle many projects simultaneously, keeping up in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Must be responsible and organized with strong interpersonal skills.
Able to juggle complex schedules with a demonstrated eagerness to learn.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively on paper.
Ability to identify, pitch, and develop story ideas.
Supervise field shoots.
Should have a strong interest in and/or knowledge of sports.
