Freebie Friday: Rodeo events, downtown Aquarium

HOUSTON – It's Freebie Friday and Go Texan Day, so Consumer Expert Amy Davis rounded up some free rodeo fun and discounts.

Take the family downtown Saturday morning for the annual Rodeo Parade.  It's free to watch the horses, covered wagons, trail riders and even the Aggies' head football coach parade through downtown to kick off the opening of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The parade starts at Bagby and Walker at 10 a.m.

Download the free rodeo app to help keep up with all the information you need for this year's show. The app is available for iPhone and Android. It includes parking maps and parking lot availabilities, grounds maps, show schedules and rodeo radio.

Military members can get into Reliant Park for free on Wednesday.  It's part of the Rodeo's Armed Forces Appreciation Day.  Service members need to be in uniform with a military ID for the free admission and accompanying spouses and children under 18 years of age can also get in free.

The Aquarium downtown is offering a buy-one-get-one-free pass for Saturday. The pass is worth $15.99.  Print out the coupon to get the deal.
