Gunman wanted for robbing woman in her driveway in Sugar Land

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Sugar Land detectives released a sketch of a gunman who stole a woman's purse on Nov. 4 in the 1200 block of Pinecroft.

Police said the woman came home at 4:30 p.m., parked in her driveway and was getting out of her car when she noticed a maroon Pontiac slowly drive by, turn around and stop in front of her house.

The woman says she had just returned home from Burger King. "I thought: 'Lord how am I going to get out of this?,' " the victim said. She decided to pretend like she had fainted to avoid further attack.

A man got out of the car while three others stayed inside, pointed a gun at her and demanded her purse, police said.

The victim handed it over, and the suspects drove off toward Eldridge Road.

The gunman was described as a light-skinned black man, possibly in his early 20s. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt.

"There were four kids on the corner and I was just afraid he was going to shoot them," the woman said.
She has three children of her own and she is thankful they were not home to witness the brazen attack, but she says her sense of security is gone.
"I can't even go outside with them because I'm afraid until he's caught."

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sugar Land Police Department at 281-275-2540 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477).
