Freebie Friday: Easter egg hunt, Shell Houston Open

HOUSTON – Free egg hunts, tennis lessons and Shell Houston Open watching top the list on this Freebie Friday.

If you want to get a jump on Easter, grab the kids and head over to the Orange Show on Munger Street at 11 a.m. on Saturday for a free egg hunt.

Also free, the first annual Peeps art contest. Before you go mold your own marshmallowy masterpiece out of those delicious peeps, and bring it to the Orange Show. The most creative artists will win gift cards and Peeps prize packages.

The city of Houston is offering free tennis lessons for kids 6 through 18 years old. Click here to find the times and dates for lessons at the park closest to you.

Head to Tomball for the city's annual German Fest.  Admission and shuttles are free.  You can soak up all the bratwurst and bier you can handle and stick around for the fireworks on Saturday at 9 p.m.

Don't forget the Shell Houston Open starts next week.  Admission is free Monday and Tuesday.  There is a shotgun start at noon Monday and professional practice rounds you can watch for free all day Tuesday.
