Teen accused of kidnapping woman from gas station, sexually assaulting her

HOUSTON – The Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force tracked down and arrested a teen accused of kidnapping, robbing and raping a woman whom he met at a gas station.  Jordan Jerrell Stephens was captured Tuesday and placed in the Harris County Jail.

According to court documents, a 23-year-old woman pulled into an Exxon gas station in the 4500 block of FM 1960 West on Oct. 15.  Stephens, a man she had never seen before, was standing outside and asked the woman for a cigarette.

The woman walked to her vehicle and handed Stephens a cigarette, then went into the store.  When she came out, Stephens was still standing outside and tried to strike up a conversation.

When the woman unlocked her car door to leave, Stephens jumped into the passenger side, armed with a black, semi-automatic pistol, authorities said. He forced the woman to drive off, and led her to an apartment complex, where he made her get undressed.

Stephens then sexually assaulted the woman, investigators said.

Afterward, Stephens drove the woman to another apartment complex in the 19000 block of the North Freeway and forced her out of the vehicle, authorities said. He left with the victim's car, iPhone, cash and other items.

The vehicle was found two days later at an apartment complex in the 900 block of Cypress Station.

Authorities towed the vehicle to a facility and began processing it for fingerprints.

Fingerprints matching Stephens were found on the exterior of the car, according to court documents.  Authorities made a five-person photo lineup, and the victim positively identified Stephens as her kidnapper and rapist.

Stephens has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and aggravated kidnapping.
