Car doing doughnuts hits biker popping wheelies in NW Harris County

HCSO: motorcyclist suffered serious injuries

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man is in the hospital after a car doing doughnuts hit him while he popped wheelies on his motorcycle in Northwest Harris County.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened late Wednesday night in a warehouse business parking lot at Park Row Drive and Primewest Parkway. Deputies said a large group of teens were partying and watching the drivers show off at the time.

The 22-year-old victim was riding across the parking lot with his front wheel up, when a car doing doughnuts crossed his path and hit him, said deputies. Life Flight rushed the man to Memorial Hermann Hospital with two broken legs and a serious head injury. He's expected to survive.

Deputies said they don't believe that alcohol was involved, and it was just reckless driving on both parties. They did not say whether the car's driver will face charges.
