Flames destroy 3 businesses at Houston shopping center

Fire ripped through multiple stores

HOUSTON - Flames destroyed at least three businesses at a shopping center in southwest Houston.

The fire broke out just after 2:30 a.m. Friday morning on Blodgett and Crawford street. 

Firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading to the entire shopping center, but a nail salon, washateria and convenience store were destroyed.

Officials said one firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation.

Arson officials are investigating what cause the fire to start.
