HOUSTON -

Authorities are searching for five unidentified males responsible for a smash-and-grab robbery at a pawn shop last month.

On the afternoon of Nov. 23, four unidentified males entered a pawn shop located on the 11700 block of Hempstead Highway in northwest Houston.  One suspect stood watch at the front door of the business as three suspects began to smash the glass display cases with sledge hammers, law enforcement officials say.

Investigators say the suspects took the gold jewelry and fled the scene.  A fifth suspect was waiting in a getaway vehicle, an older model green Pontiac with paper plates (partial number: "73").

The suspects are described as black males between the ages of 18-25 years.  At the time of the offense, all were wearing baggy style blue jeans and hoodies.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information that leads to the filing of felony charges or arrest of the suspects in this case.
