HOUSTON -

Authorities are investigating what caused a house fire in northwest Houston early Wednesday morning.

Firefighters with the Houston Fire Department responded to the house on Linden at Coral Street around 2:45 a.m.

According to the homeowner, he left the home to run a quick errand at a store and when he returned to his house, it was fully engulfed in flames.

The man said there was no electricity in the house and it had recently been sold.

At this point officials do not know what caused the fire to start.

Fortunately, no one was injured.
