Fire started in vacant home

HOUSTON – Houston firefighters rushed to put out a fire at an vacant home in northwest Houston.

Fire crews said the fire started on Long Point Road and Woodvine Drive around 12 a.m. Monday. The owner of the home said she rents it out, and there was running water and electricity that could of prompted someone to break in.

The owner said teenagers were spotted hanging around the home recently who could of been involved in starting the fire.

Arson is investigating the cause of the fire and there were no reported injuries.
