HOUSTON - A house fire in southeast Houston spread to a neighboring home, investigators said.
Houston firefighters said a home in the 8300 block of Corinth Street near Shelby Circle caught fire about 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
Crews said they found the home engulfed in flames, which were spreading to a house next door.
One of the homes was destroyed. Officials have not said how much damage the other house sustained.
Witnesses said the woman who lived the house that initially caught fire was using space heaters to keep warm. Investigators said they suspect those heaters sparked the fire.
No injuries were reported.
