The Harris County Fire Marshal is investigating a blaze at a home in Spring overnight, that broke out while the homeowners were on vacation.

According to the fire marshal, the Spring Fire Department arrived around 1:15 a.m. Friday and found the home on Grand Rapids engulfed in flames. The fire was so hot it actually melted the siding on the neighboring homes.

Nobody was inside the home at the time of the fire. The fire marshal didn’t report any injuries, but expects the home to be a total loss.

As of Friday morning, the fire marshal had not released a cause of the fire.
