HOUSTON -

Arson units are investigating an early morning fire that destroyed a building in southeast Houston.

Firefighters said they abandoned 2-story duplex at Drew Street and Callie Street was engulfed in flames when they arrived around 1:30 a.m. Thursday. 

Crews extinguished the fire, but said the building was a total loss.

HFD says approximately 35 firefighters responded to the incident. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by HFD Arson Investigators.
