Firefighters have responded to a fire at a metal recycling plant
The City of Pasadena issued the 'all-clear' for the shelter in place issued near a metal recycling plant in Pasadena.
A shelter in place was issued for the area near a metal recycling plant in Pasadena.
Emergency crews were called to C&Y Global Inc. around 10:15 a.m. Thursday after a fire broke out a the plant located on North Witter near Red Bluff.
Officials said welders were cutting metal when it caught on fire. The metal was some form of titanium.
The shelter in place was issued for the neighborhood west of the plant off North Witter. The Pasadena Fire Marshal said a couple of hundred homes could be affected.
Pasadena firefighters used a special chemical to put out the fire.
