HOUSTON - The Houston Texans are headed back to Gillette Stadium for a re-match with the Patriots on Sunday. If you want to travel to New England for the game, it'll cost you some major cash.
KPRC Local 2 checked online and found the lowest-cost flight to Boston was on Air Trans Airways for $278.13.
The flight leaves Hobby Airport Saturday at 10:57 a.m. and has a layover in Atlanta before landing in Boston at 6:52 p.m.
Coming home Monday, there's an Air Trans flight that leaves at 6:30 a.m. After another layover in Atlanta, you'll land in Houston at 11:42 a.m.
If you're willing to pay a little extra, United offers several non-stop flights to Boston. The lowest price is $323.
If you are going with a group, driving may be the best bet. It's a 27-hour trip from Houston to Foxborough, Mass., that covers more than 1,800 miles each way.
On the average, a vehicle gets 20 miles to the gallon highway. That's about 92 gallons of gas each way. According to AAA, the national average for regular gas is $3.30 a gallon. That means you'll pay at least $606 in gas for the entire trip!
When you get there, you'll need a place to stay. There aren't a lot of options in Foxborough, so your best bet is in Boston or Providence, Rhode Island.
The lowest prices were in Providence. Most of those rooms cost less than $90 a night.
