Fight at north Harris County gas station ends in stabbing

HOUSTON – A man was stabbed during an altercation at a gas station in north Harris County. 

Police said at 11 p.m. Thursday, two pickup trucks pulled into a Texaco gas station on Airline and Hollyvale and two men got out of a red truck, one got out of a burgundy truck.

Officials said the men were yelling and a fight ensued. One of the men from the red truck stabbed the man from the burgundy truck several times in the side chest  area. 

The victim drove to his mother's house and was taken to a hospital in serious, but stable condition, according to police. 

It is unknown what caused the altercation.

Investigators said they will review the gas station surveillance footage for more information.
