A female bank robber hit two Houston area banks within an hour, but was turned away without getting any cash.
Around 3:15 p.m. Monday, officials said the woman entered the first bank, Bank of America, located at 2302 Fannin Street.
Officials said the woman handed the teller a note demanding cash.
According to police, the woman left the bank in a taxi cab without getting any money.
Then, around 3:30 p.m., police said the woman entered another Bank of America, located at 1905 West Gray. There she handed the teller a note demanding cash, but again received nothing.
She then left the bank in a cab.
Authorities describe the suspect as a black woman in her 40s, 5 feet seven inches and about 165 pounds. She was last seen wearing dark sunglasses and carrying a cell phone.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and arrest of the woman.
