HOUSTON -

The FBI is searching for a badly beaten bank robber who they said held up a a Houston bank at gun point.

According to officials, the robber entered the Prosperity Bank located at 2310 Yale Street around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities said the robber handed the teller a note, pulled out a pistol and demanded cash. The tellers gave the man some money.

Bank tellers told police it looked like the robber had recently been beaten up. They said he had a split and swollen lip and a badly bruised left eye that was almost swollen shut.

The robber was last seen walking away from the area.

The robber was described as a white man between 19 to 25 years old. He's believed to be 5 feet 10 inches tall and 155 pounds with a slim build. He had dirty blonde hair and a little facial hair.
