The state expects to rest as early as Thursday or Friday in the Jonathan Foster murder trial.
Mona Nelson is accused of kidnapping and killing the 12-year-old boy, and then putting his burned body in a culvert. On Wednesday morning FBI agents took the stand.
Nelson has maintained her innocence and over the objections of her own attorney she has opted for a judge, not a jury, to decide her fate.
If convicted, Nelson will be sentenced to life without parole.
