Three family members are in jail following a drug bust in the Sugar Land area.
A narcotics task force, made up of local and federal agencies, worked together on an investigation targeting illegal street and mid-level cocaine, Xanax and marijuana trafficking in Fort Bend County.
On April 17, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office said members of the task force and the Fort Bend Regional SWAT Team executed a search warrant at a home in the 11000 block of Hueco Tanks Drive.
As part of their investigation, officials found “a substantial amount of marijuana, Xanax, powder cocaine and drug contraband indicative of manufacturing, packaging and distributing illicit narcotics.”
The Sheriff’s Office estimates the narcotics had a street value of $30,000.
Authorities arrested three men on various charges. They were booked into the Fort Bend County Jail.
Officials say Sarmad Quddusi, 23, faces charges of manufacturing delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and three manufacturing delivery of a controlled substance warrants.
Saud Quddusi, 24, is charged with manufacturing delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Safi Quddusi, 19, faces charges of manufacturing delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Authorities said bond for Safi Quddusi was set at $101,000.
Sarmad Qudussi and Saud Quddusi are being held without bond.
All three men remain in custody.
