A jury in the trial of a father charged in the killing of his baby daughter returned a guilty verdict Monday afternoon.
Iniubong Ebong was convicted of capital murder. Investigators say he shook his 5-month-old to death in 2010.
Witnesses included a nurse who was in the emergency room when the child was brought into the hospital, as well as an officer who transported the defendant from the crime scene.
Ebong, 34, has reportedly admitted to shaking the child after she wouldn't stop crying.
The punishment phase for Ebong will being Tuesday at 10am.
