The chase ended in the parking lot between a Starbucks and Autozone in west Houston.

Channel 2 learned that at one point another person and bystander stopped their vehicles and helped bring the chase to an end.

"Weaving in and out of cars. He came around the front of this building. I knew there was only one way to get out. I backed in front of it, stopped it and they were able to do what they do best." said Rick Coleman.

Coleman told Channel 2 he helped out because he knows the parking lot is busy with people walking nearby. He also saw the man eating something as soon as he jumped out of the vehicle.

Witnesses tell Channel 2 the man was driving recklessly and throwing items out the window.
