Fans infiltrate San Antonio ahead of Game 2 of playoff matchup

HOUSTON – Even on our way to cover the series between the Rockets and Spurs, we made a couple of friends along the drive also heading to San Antonio.

While they were both coming from Houston, that didn't mean they were both rooting for the Rockets.

" It's an in-state rivalry," said Casey Spence, a Houston Rockets Fan. "San Antonio and Houston, we've got a big thing going on ever since we were in the first championships."

Added Nate Joevasquez, a San Antonio Spurs Fan: "We're friends. So, other than that, he cheers on his team and I cheer on my team."

But once we rolled into town, it was evident there were plenty of Rockets fans already here, including a guy with a haircut like no others to show his support for H-town.

Said Chris Flores, a Rockets Fan:  "Hardin is going to give them open looks. If they hit they hit."

While some Houston fans spent the day taking in a bit of history at the Alamo, they also had no problem showing off their rockets gear in enemy territory.

"Everyone i see out here, I'm looking for people in red," said Lawanda Laase, a Rockets Fan. "When I see it, I say, Hey you must be with Rockets for the game tonight."

With a blowout win in game 1, many Houston fans believe game 2 will be a repeat and that the Rockets are going all the way this year.

"Sweep. We're going to win tonight and get two at home and we're on our way," said Rockets fan Edward Laase.
