HOUSTON -

A family's home was destroyed in a fire Thursday night.

Around 11 p.m., Houston firefighters responded to the fire at a home on Queen Street near N. Wayside Drive.

When crews arrived, they found a one-story home was engulfed in flames.

Worried neighbors initially reported that at least one person was trapped inside, but when firefighters entered the home, they discovered it was empty.

The Houston Fire Department later learned that the two adults and one child that live there had left the home for the evening.

No one was injured in the fire.

Arson investigators were working to determine what started the fire.
