Family terrorized by home invasion thieves

Father, daughter hit by gunmen

HOUSTON – Police are searching for a group of men who broke into a family's southeast Houston home.

Around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said four men stormed inside a trailer home off 4701 Anderson and terrorized the family inside.

"The father inside of the home was pistol-whipped and his wife was tied up," said Sgt. Robert Boehmke with the Houston Police Department. "The suspects left with money, the family's television, and their white RAV4 SUV."

The couple's daughter, who is in her 20s, was also inside the home.

"Three of the men had guns and one had a knife," said the victim's family member. "They broke into the front door with their guns. They were yelling and screaming. They hit the man's daughter."

The suspects were gone by the time emergency crews arrived.  Police collected evidence for hour and talked to neighbors. The mother and daughter were taken to the hospital.
