Family terrified after bullets spray their Baytown apartment

Mom, dad and two kids home at the time

BAYTOWN, Texas – Police are investigating a shooting inside a Baytown apartment.

The family was inside their home at the time of the shooting. Several bullets hit the walls, front door and ceiling, according to police.

The incident happened in the 900 block of Northwood Drive, neighbors said the family is so terrified they've temporarily moved out.

"Her and her husband were home and they have children," said a neighbor, who asked to have her identity concealed. "That's why I'm worried about my safety. I have small kids as well and I live downstairs, my windows are right here."

That same neighbor told KPRC Local 2 that the first shots were fired on Sunday night, and then another round of bullets came flying on Tuesday.

The Baytown police said no one was hurt and they did locate a 9mm shell casing.

It's unclear who is firing the shots or where they're coming from but the agency is investigating.
