Families mourn 2 women found dead

Crystal Jackson, 24, Brittany Cosby, 24, found behind convenience store

GALVESTON, Texas – Two families are in mourning the day after the gruesome discovery of two bodies behind Bolivar convenience store.

The father of one of the Houston women found murdered in Bolivar told Local 2 he is confident her killers will be found. Rev. Ivan Jackson, father of Crystal Jackson, 24, spoke to Local 2 Saturday night, asking the suspects to turn themselves in.

"Own up to their responsibilities," Jackson said. "Because sooner or later, they will be caught. That is my faith. They will be caught."

The bodies of Crystal Jackson and Britney Cosby, also 24, were discovered Friday morning behind a Bolivar convenience store. Investigators with the Galveston County Sheriff's Office believe the suspects may have killed the women somewhere else and then placed their bodies near a dumpster.

Deputies are asking anyone with information to come forward. They would like to hear from anyone who knows where the women may have last been seen, or who may have spoken to them last.

They are also looking for Cosby's 2006 silver Kia Sorento, which is now considered stolen. The vehicle had paper license plates.

Cosby's family didn't want to speak on camera Saturday, but described Britney as a beautiful woman and a hard worker. They said she rode the bus to work everyday up until just recently, when she purchased the Sorento.

While investigators continue their search, Jackson's father, a pastor, prepares to speak at his daughter's funeral.
