HOUSTON -

There’s a faster way to go through airport security and it's available just in time for the holiday travel rush.

CLEAR lines are now open at both of Houston’s airports.

The new technology allows passengers to move through airport security in five minutes or less.

Airport officials say this is innovative technology that will hopefully transform the way we travel.

With a CLEAR card, you can avoid waiting in long lines. CLEAR travelers can pass through the pre-screening and identity check process in record time.

To enroll with CLEAR, you can do it online or at an airport kiosk. There are two kiosks at every terminal at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Kiosks can be found in the main terminal at William P. Hobby Airport.

A CLEAR membership is $179 per year. Members can add a spouse for an additional $50 and kids 18 and under fly for free.

In addition to operating at IAH and Hobby, CLEAR can be found at the international airports of Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, San Francisco, San Jose, Orlando, Denver, and the New York's Westchester County Airport.
