Flores in December pleaded guilty to theft from the Center-based nonprofit group from March 2007 to September 2014.

She was rodeo secretary for Region 10 of the Texas High School Rodeo Association. Audits determined money had been stolen and Flores acknowledged the theft when confronted by association officials.

An attorney for Flores presented a $100,000 check to prosecutors in the plea deal. Flores must serve eight years of probation and do 300 hours of community service.

Court documents indicate Flores was living in McLennan County at the time of the theft but now lives in Athens.
